Beat the Heat - IV Family Picnic

Part 2: The Intellectual Ventures Family Picnic

Every year Dan's company throws a huge party at Marymoor park. It's like a carnival - rides, food, entertainment, music, and ice cream. Unfortunately this is the second year in a row that the kids have napped so late that we didn't get there until after 4 - the picnic is 12-5, but by 4 pretty much everything has shut down and everyone has gone home.

This year, when I showed up at 4, not only was everyone gone but Dan was stuck at work - so I took the kids to his work picnic without him! He did join us later and we enjoyed the few things that were still open. Like snow cones. At least there were no lines!

"AAAEAAEAEEEEEAEEEERRRRR" (translation: again, daddy!)

Here is Nory riding the bucking bronco. Almost immediately after violently refusing to go on a pony ride because the pony, who was roughly the size of our dog, was too scary.

Dan's coworker Anna showed up a little after we did. Check out their baby's sweet ride!
