Betty Cake

This is Betty Kate.

She is one of Nory's best friends. In our house she is referred to as Betty "Cake." Here are Nory and Betty Cake at Betty Cake's birthday party last weekend.

Betty Cake is the daughter of the family that our nanny, Melodie, used to nanny for and still lives with - it gets a bit complicated. But every day that Melodie comes to our house, Nory's first question is "can I have a play date with Betty Cake today?" Here is our super-nanny.

Here is Root, the au pair that also lives with Betty Cake's family. She *LOVES* Elliott. Every time Nory goes for a play date with Betty Cake, Root steals baby Elliott and only gives him back under protest when it is time to leave. Elliott loves Root too so it works out pretty well.

It is really wonderful to have such amazing, loving people watching over our children while we are at work.

If you can't tell from the pictures, Betty Cake is significantly bigger than Nory - Nory is still fitting quite comfortably in size 2T and Betty Cake is mostly in 4T. Which is another reason we love Betty "Cake" - a constant stream of hand-me-downs comes through our door.

In fact I took these pictures this afternoon during our neighborhood walk, after realizing that Nory's shirt, pants, shoes, and undies today were all hand-me-downs from Betty Cake.

We sure love Betty Cake!
