Happy Valentines Day! And happy birthday baby boy Marzinke! I'm so, so, so happy to announce that my dear friend Keren had her baby boy this morning. Name and pictures pending! Knowing she has lived through labor gives me hope that I can do it too... and good thing! Because time is running out. Today I waddled my way into the THIRD trimester. But first things first. This morning I woke up to the perfect valentine's day gift - these fabulous earrings! Nice job Dan! They were piercing the ears of a stuffed zebra I've made for the baby. Aren't they fantastic!? (For those of you who are socially conscious about the diamond market... don't worry, we are too. These aren't real out-of-africa-someone-lost-a-life-over diamonds, they just look like it!) If you are wondering about Dan's present, you're looking through it - he bought himself a new camera and lens for his valentine's-birthday-father's day-next christmas present.
Here is my week 27 belly. Not really sure where the next 13 weeks are supposed to fit.

It was supposed to rain all weekend, but after waking up to perfectly blue skies we hit the beach.

Finny is experiencing none of the third trimester energy loss symptoms that I am.

We walked for about 3 hours and I had to sit down and rest! So pathetic! But it was a beautiful place to rest, so I can't complain too loudly.
Unfortunitely I wore myself out. After leaving the beach I had a series of "Round Ligament Pain," affectionately known in our family as "the crampies," that were so bad I couldn't get out of the car. Dan had to drag me back in the house, where I collapsed into bed and woke up much refreshed after a two hour nap. Not so refreshed, however, that I managed to regain my valentine's enthusiasm, which is why Dan and I are sitting on the couch picturing and blogging on valentine's day.

Way to go Jude. We´ve been asking around, and sounds like the third trimester is the easiest. All downhill from here. We also heard that you can just take like 80 of them pills at once to make up for the lost ones. On a related note, we like grapefruit too, and our most favorite central american beverage is ¨Fresca¨ which is synthetic grapefruit juice with corn syrup & bubbles. See if you can find some in SB!
:) I hadn't notice we were in 3rd trimester!! Is it really already? crazyfun. Must be why I'm exhausted this weekend. And maybe why while exhausted, I'm still awake at 10:30pm to eat blueberries?
I was a big fan of 2nd trimester--loads of energy, and I felt great. Not so sure that getting even bigger is gonna help that!
Love your pictures--wish our Seattle time had overlapped so we could compare bellies!
