I visited Jayant and Rina's baby, Sidarth ("Sid"). He was only 1 week old! I've always looked at infants and thought about how small they are, but this time I kept looking at his head and thinking, "no FREAKIN' way is something that size gonna come out of me." Needless to say, he was very cute, and mostly slept the whole time I was there.
Saturday morning Alicia and I went to our friend Lisa's house for breakfast. And what a breakfast it was! Waffles, coddled eggs, sausages, and tea. It was lovely. After breakfast Lisa and Mary (Lisa's roommate) let me use their internet to avoid the long drive in to Redmond to finish up some work.
Saturday afternoon I drove to Bellingham with Paul, Tarah, Scott, and Emily for Peter's first birthday. More photos of Peter's cupcake consumption can be found here (definitely worth checking out).
After the party we went with Dana to dinner at my favorite Bellingham restaurant - Boundary Bay. They make the worlds best yam enchiladas. Then we went to Dana's new house in Bellingham, which is an old but charming craftsman style home. It is really going to be beautiful!
The next morning, it was home again home again... earlier than anticipated since I got a call from United on Saturday night indicating my convenient 10am flight out of seattle had been cancelled, and I needed to be rescheduled on a 7:30am flight!
