Nory went to the doctor yesterday for her 15 month checkup and vaccines. I have to say, the whole doctor's office visit is designed for failure. First, you go in with a nurse who measures and weighs your kid. On a fancy-metal-makes-a-cool-rattling-noise-when-you-get-weighed scale. Then the nurse leaves and you wait for the doctor to come in. This can take up to 15 minutes, even if you have the first appointment of the day. Which means that you are stuck with a toddler and a fancy-metal-makes-a-cool-rattling-noise-when-you-get-weighed scale and a giant all caps sign reading "PARENTS DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD PLAY ON THE SCALE" in a room approximately the size of a bathroom. Result: screaming toddler, long before the doctor has come in or the vaccines have been administered. In comparison, the shots were easy!
Nory has been eating like crazy since her last check up so it was no surprise that she had grown considerably. The doctor agreed with us that she is looking perfectly healthy and happy (minus the screaming over the scale, although the doctor mentioned that she had seen much, much worse 15 month visits, which was a little reassuring). Here are her stats:
Height: 29.5 inches (20%!!)
Weight: 20 pounds 8 ounces (15%)
HC: 17.5 inches (15%)

Congrats to Nory on another successful doc visit - I would want to play with the scale too if it made neat sounds. Way to go!
