Arizona

During the final week of our kitchen remodel, we had the floors refinished. We had to move out of the house for 5 days and it just happened that we could line this up with Betty Kate and Justine's annual pilgrimage to Scottsdale, AZ (Justine goes for a work conference every year). Dan stayed behind to tend to the dog and to finish up a big project he was working on at work. Girlllllll (and Elliott) trip!

Mostly we swam. It was too hot to do anything else, highs in the 90's-100's.

We did have to walk from the room to the pool and back. Tons of exercise here!

Mel joined us for part of the trip so I had help with the kiddos while Justine was working.

Evening swim. Had the pool to ourselves because after dinner it had cooled down to 85 - WAY too cold for the locals ;).

I spy a pretty little heron.

It was fun. But after 6 days of full day sun and sunscreen and extremely dry hot weather, everyones skin was (literally) splitting at the seems. Tears and screams accompanied sunscreen and baths. I was ready to go home! A few days back in the PNW and everyone was back to normal and I was oh-so-happy to see daddy again!
