Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. [If I had known when we woke up that we would be going, I might have worked a little harder to get Nory to wear shoes and pants that actually matched her cute sweater instead of letting her pick. Oh well.]
This was the second year in a row that Nory was allowed to pick out a pumpkin. Anything that she could carry. Hmmm, so many options.
This one?
Nope, too big. This next one passed the "if you can carry it" test, even though only for a few seconds, and ended up coming home with us.
We had to get a wheelbarrow to help us carry our pumpkin back to the car.
Elliott mostly stayed snug in the Ergo with mommy, keeping warm.
But he got out to take some pictures with his big sister. Funny how sometimes a hug can seem like a choke hold, isn't it?
Then it was time to ride the hay bale.
These pictures do a pretty good job of showing just how much Nory adores her little brother, but I don't think they really capture just how much he adores her back. Elliott is 6 months old now and he absolutely lives for Nory. He is content to be anywhere as long as it is with her. He loves it when she talks to him and holds his hand and even when she "hugs" him so hard that he spits up whatever happened to be in his stomach. It has become impossible to feed Elliott when Nory is nearby - as soon as he hears her voice his head pops right off and his eyes instantly search the room until he spots her. (Nory "helps" this by coming right up to Elliott's face and shouting, "EAT BABY, EAT! Eat your mommy milk!").

Such cute photos! Every kid needs an older sibling for entertainment.
