Superdan Returns

35 weeks has heralded the return of Superdan. Superdan was a frequent super hero in our family in the early pregnancy months, when I was so sick I did nothing but lay on the couch all day trying not to vomit. Superdan did all the cooking, cleaning, and other household chores - which prompted him to agree to take a cooking class with me.

Anyway,
Superdan returned this week to battle my old nemesis, nausea. That's right, that first and second trimester villain has returned. I think it is due mostly to the fact that my stomach is the size of a marble, but I'm hungry all the time. So I get really hungry, eat too much, and throw up. Yuck! Nausea has also brought some of its friends to enjoy my last month of pregnancy with me: rib cage pain, groin and pelvic pain, little feet kicking me in the side pain, and especially back pain. Ouch! No wonder I can't get confortable anymore! According to my doctor, all of this is normal, and "after 35 weeks we welcome pain, it means things are moving in the right direction." Easy for her to say.

Superdan and his sidekick, Finny

With the help of Superdan and his sidekick Finny, I was still able to get out of the house this weekend. We went to the Santa Barbara botanical gardens. We'd been around Christmas with Dan's family, and I was only moderately impressed - but boy, howdy, this time it was a whole new world! EVERYTHING was blooming, and beautiful.

Easter Sunday - 35 weeks and bigger than ever!

Oh Judy!! I'm so sorry you've been getting sick again. That's just no bueno. I can agree about the pain though--everything hurts these days! I feel like I want some suspenders just to make it easier to hold this baby up. 4 weeks left--Go Fight Win! I'm still on track for a May 14 due date--how about you???
