We had such a great Halloween this year, minus missing daddy. Nory got to go trick-or-treating at Mommy's work last Thursday and then we went around the neighborhood on Halloween evening.
Remember this cute little fish from last year?
Too cute to put away in a closet so this year we pulled it back out and it fit just right.
Elliott came too - moooo - but didn't do much except spit up on people's walkways and front porches.
Nory needed no encouragement whatsoever after quickly figuring out the magic of trick-or-treating. After every house she would say, "Another trick or treat!" or, "More trick or treats!"
I wasn't sure if trick-or-treating door to door was even something that still happened in neighborhoods or in our neighborhood in particular. But if you are wondering - YES, it does. Not only were all of our neighbors totally prepared with candy, most of them had decorated their homes to the extreme! Our two little painted pumpkins were definitely the minority. Here are some pictures from the night.
Boo! Uncle Dan's scary face!
These people had a ghost on a pulley system flying around their yard.
Beware!! Enter at your own risk!
I was very surprised to see so many houses with Halloween lights. I can't imagine what our street will look like on Christmas.
It was fun to have the family along!
Needless to say, the tiny bag of mini-snickers I bought was gone long before the trick-or-treaters stopped coming to our door. We still had a few boxes of raisins left but finally had to turn off the light and put a note on the door saying "sorry, out of candy!" I can't believe we were one of those houses! Now we'll know for next year!
