Bicycle Race

I love this time of year. It is the brief period between rock climbing season and ski season, which means: we get to see Uncle Lindy! Linden and Elsa are such busy, adventurous people that we don't actually see them very often for all that they are living less than 10 miles away. Last weekend we went into Seattle to cheer for them at their cyclocross race (fancy word for "muddy bike race").

See me, Nory, Elliott, and Elsa in the background? Well Elliott is under the white blanket, you will have to use your imagination.

Another reason that I love this time of year is because, well, look at those leaves! Santa Barbara didn't really have... seasons. And last year we moved here after winter had started.

Nory was a great cheerleader. Go team go! Go Uncle Wendy! She has GOT to get better at her L's.

Elsa raced too. Every time she would ride by us, Nory would cheer Go Elsa Go! And as soon as she had passed, "Where's Elsa? Where'd she go?"

Afterwards we went to Uncle Lindy and Auntie Elsa's *awesome* house in west Seattle for a late lunch. The kids skipped their naps and still managed to survive. I think Uncle Wendy's relentless ability to chase Nory in circles and Auntie Elsa's remarkable ability to get spit up on over and over without being grossed out or losing her patience had something to do with it. They're lucky we took the kids with us when we left! ;)
