Thanksgiving in Madison

[This blog post is brought to you compliments of the kids, who are currently napping at the same time, even on vacation.]

We went to Madison this year for Thanksgiving, which among other things means that there is a gigantic camera documenting every moment of our vacation! Traveling here was not nearly as bad as I anticipated, we had virtually no wait at the airport, our flights were on time, and the kids were generally agreeable, although they didn't nap all day. Hopefully we'll have as good of luck on the way home tomorrow. They've both been champs while we've been here too, although Elliott has reverted to waking up every 90 minutes all night and since we are in a house full of other people I don't let him cry at all... so basically this mama is verrrry tired. But with plenty of willing hands to help with Nory, I'm still managing just fine.

Here we are at Donald Park, a fun and beautiful place to walk a dog. The leaves have fallen but no snow yet! Nory was napping and stayed home with grandma who was busy cooking a delicious Thanksgiving meal.

And here is Nory at the Madison Children's Museum, which is the best Children's Museum in the Universe (I'm not sure if that is an official award or not, but if not then it should be, and it should be awarded to this Children's Museum). I stayed home with Elliott and Dan and Grandma took Nory. She had an amazing time, and was very disappointed when they told her it was time to go home.

More pictures here. If it weren't for Elliott's awful traveling sleep habits, I would wish we could stay longer! What a wonderful place to visit. Thanks grandma and grandpa!
