Painting

I got these little spice racks at IKEA the other month to use as little bookshelves above Nory's bed. She loves having books in bed but it has gotten out of control. (Thanks for the idea, Kimber!) The plan is to put these up over her bed so that she can keep her books within reach but off of the bed.

Painting with a 2 year old with non-washable paint was definitely a one-and-a-half parent operation, so we waited until the weekend to do it. It turned out to be easier than I expected. And of course, Nory loved it! She loves all arts and crafts activities these days and I am starting to get braver with them - paint and glue have recently been added to our craft list.

Is fence construction a good kiddie craft? Maybe when we come to visit she can help us build the gate.

I'm still finding flecks of paint in Xaris' hair from when she helped Papa with the window trim... they had fun though! Too bad the trim was white and I have a dark-haired girl....
