The Seattle Zoo is big. So big, in fact, that I don't think we've ever seen the whole thing in one trip. But since we have a zoo membership we feel better about dipping in and out of just a couple parts.
Last weekend when our Santa Barbarian friends were here we all took a trip. This is Tim, Gavin, and Adrienne. Tim has a big fancy camera like Dan's, so we spent a lot of time letting the kids play and taking pictures.
Who needs animals anyway? The biggest hit was definitely the otter slides. Which were very fun but not very kind to Nory's new knit sweater skirt.
The kids drove the tractor, too. Nory has recently become slightly obsessed with tractors, she points them out whenever we see them around town.
Yes, that's my belly, 37 weeks. Yikes.
Mommy is getting too big for this!
This wonderful morning at the zoo was followed by a disaster of an afternoon in which the two dads went to REI and the moms took the kids home to nap. Then, upon arriving at home, realized that we did not have a way to get into the house. We were in Adrienne's rental car so no garage opener and apparently my house keys only opened one of the two locks on the front and back door. At this point we put the two very, very tired kids back into the car and drove to Duvall and back while waiting for Tim and Dan to get home. Not one of my finest parenting moments, but you can't win them all.
