Fall with Family

My family was here this weekend. My parents drove up from Oregon even though my mom was feeling sick, and my brother stopped by for the weekend on his way to Peru. It was so nice to see them. It was SO NICE to see them. They left this afternoon and I feel all sorts of sad and grumpy now. Like I always do when I have to say goodbye to them.

Have I mentioned that I really love my family? I really love my family.

Also, it's fall here. The weather turned chilly, we dug out jackets and have moved on to fall activities like running in long sleeves and drinking pumpkin spice lattes. We had an awesome fall weekend which included pumpkin patching,

light hanging:

sibling sleepover:

Scrabble:

running 11 miles with my brother (I think I broke him):

And a trip to go "fishing" at Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation.
The rest of these are Dan's pictures (if that wasn't obvious).

The salmon were spawning, and dying.

Nory was brave enough to touch a dead fish. Elliott wouldn't go near it.

 Uncle Dan and Nory

E and Papa. Elliott don't hit Papa in the head with the stick!

Be still my heart. These two have been getting along so well lately.
And also, that one pant leg in the boot and one out of it is totally going to be the next Thing in fashion. Just you wait.

A few more pictures here.
