Giganto-car and the park

Dan and I have made a conscious decision not to become a minivan or SUV owning family. But because of this, we can't fit everyone in one car when we have visitors. We figure it is better to just rent a van a couple times a year when people visit instead of driving around a huge car with only 4 people in it the rest of the year.

While my parents were here, we didn't even need to rent a car - my boss owns a Giganto-car and was willing to trade for a few days! It was so nice to be able to fit in one car.

Yep, that's a grown human in the backseat next to 2 carseats! We didn't even need to use the third row!

I even fit it in the garage - no small feat.

Where did we go? Well, unpictured, but most importantly, to a winery. Ha, take that Dan Klein, that will teach you to go to Africa.

We also went to a few parks. What is that blur of pink?

Notice the blue sky? Poor nana and papa didn't get to use their new raincoats in the entire 2 weeks they were here! It was (slightly above) freezing however.

Who are these suckers that Nory convinced to carry her back to the car?

Yes, that is nana and papa. 

WAIT A MINUTE... nana is carrying Nory? Nana who was in a wheel chair not too long ago? Nana who just had her belly sliced open and operated on for the 7th time in August?

Yep. You would hardly believe she had been in such a bad accident, she is doing so great now. I was worried the kids would finish her off but she was more than a match for them! It is so wonderful to see her full of energy and strong again. Hip hip hooray for a (nearly) full recovery!

And now to go remember how to make dinner and do laundry... come back soon nana and papa!!!
