Nory is in the phase of child development which I am pretty sure I skipped - namely, pretending that everything is a cell phone. Just today I've seen her use a hair bow, sock, blanket, dog leash, bottle, thermometer, and her own fist as a cell phone. Her conversation is very limited - on the "phone" she says one of two things: "hi daddy" or "bye bye bye."
Unfortunately, as soon as I hand her a phone with a person actually on the other side, she will either laugh and hang up on them (I have no idea how she is so fast to find the "end call" button); or she will simply stand there and oogle. She will sometimes smile and even wave, but she hasn't quite caught on to saying anything.
In this video, Nory actually got a hold of my cell phone. It isn't a perfect video, she usually walks around the house saying "hi daddy" and in this video she is snuggling. Nevertheless it will give you a good glimpse into our little teenager's life.

X does that too! Things that have been a cell phone:
my iphone
my keys
remote controls
a play hair dryer in church nursery
baby monitor
vitamin bottle
my flip flop
a cd
the nintendo remote
a card game.
It's too much fun to watch--Nory was cute!
Oh, we love phones here too. Peter loved Nory's Leap Frog phone while we were there. He kept calling "Super Why" which was too funny. (2 year old TV show about learning your letters and reading. they call each other - I didn't know until he started doing it after seeing the show once). Peter is not a huge phone talker in real life, but my nephew will carry on a full conversation.
As for the TV remote: even my grandmother thought that was a phone. She was slipping at the time. She couldn't figure out why no one was talking back.
