Hate them. Hate. Them. I've always hated those double wide strollers being pushed around the zoo that you can't walk around. I hate the double strollers on the jogging path that are too wide to get past. And boy oh boy do I hate them when I see them in the super market - might as well forget any items in that aisle! Make your stinkin' toddler get out and walk, or CARRY YOUR BABY! (Exceptions, of course, for those people with kids really close in age).
But... while I had planned on running during times when Dan could watch the kids or when I could just take one kid... it turns out that this never happened. I never, ever have free time without both kids. If I only have Elliott (like when Nory is at preschool), I am either doing errands like mad, folding laundry, loading the dishwasher, making dinner, or just spending time with Elliott trying to convince him to nap. And during those times when I am only watching Nory - oh wait, that's never happened.
So basically I had stopped running, which made me really really sad. A few times after the kids are in bed, I've been able to sneak in a run, but usually I feel compelled to tidy up the house or fold laundry. Plus it is getting dark here earlier and earlier every day, and unfortunately I don't think my kids are willing to go to bed at 4pm to compensate.
Therefore, this morning while Dan took Nory to the car show...
... Elliott and I drove to a random person's house in Woodinville (love Craig's list) and bought this.
And I have to say, the sight of them there side by side melts my heart. It's okay, little brother!
Neither of them really enjoys strollers (Nory because she would rather be
Look at the turtles!
I have yet to try running with it, although it seemed pretty easy to push around the park. I bought it used, so I figure that if I end up never using it, I can just resell it on craigslist, right?
And I promise to not walk around really busy, narrow paths with it :)

You're one of us now.
I want one!
BTW - You could probably get a Phil and Teds. They're the in-line jogging double strollers. I tried one before we had Moira, but I'm too tall. However, I know people who LOVE them. Those people are all 5'5" or under. You might like it.
Also, once you go to a double stoller, you'll never go back! ;)
