Lost and Found

I confess, I love facebook. I'm sorry it had to be that way, but facebook has made my month. I recently became cyber-friends with one of my old college buddies. We'd drifted apart in the years since college (she'd headed to Chicago for seminary), but lo and behold, she is now living and working in Santa Barbara! That's right, my dear Lisa Holmlund lives about 4 blocks from me. I couldn't believe it, but we had lunch together last weekend and sure enough, it was her! I'm so fortunate - and I feel like such an idiot for not joining sooner!


I just have to say, though, that it is so strange to have never run into her around town before. I mean, granted, I didn't get out much during pregnancy, but I only know about 10 people in all of Santa Barbara and I run into them everywhere! It just has that small town feel. Plus, I've probably walked my dog past her condo about 200 times, not to mention that she lives in the building between my chiropractor and Nory's pediatrician. I guess our schedules never aligned quite right. Anyhow, I'm nothing but grateful for having reclaimed this lost friend.
