Adventures in fairyland

How did you spend your Christmas through New Year's? The Klein family, living in magic fairyland (so it seems), spent it in the following magical ways:

Taking a boat to Channel Islands National Park where we went through a pod of literally hundreds and hundreds of dolphins, and one whale.

Visiting the migrating monarch butterflies in Santa Barbara, where the butterflies were so thick you couldn't see the Eucalyptus leaves.

Hiking on the beach in Morro Bay.

I'm not sure if I could have been more impressed with seeing actually fairies and unicorns! The bird paparazzi was extremely active. Also, not pictured here, was a wonderful New Years Day trip we took to visit the Freemans in Santa Ynez, the valley behind the Santa Barbara mountains where they grow lots and lots of wine (and where the movie Sideways was filmed).
