Dan practices for parenthood

Today, Dan practiced for parenthood. After we went hiking with Lindy up in the mountains, we came home and cleaned up Finny for his grandparents. First, Dan and Lindy gave Finny a bath (unfortunately no photos were taken). Then, Finny was dried and brushed. By this time we had found at least a dozen ticks (gross) which had to be picked off.

After his bath, Dan and Lindy trimmed Finny's toe fur and cut his nails. We have tranquilizer pills prescribed by the vet for just this occasion, but they take an hour to kick in and the boys were in a hurry so they attempted it the old fashioned way. And besides, the baby won't get tranquilizer pills, so it is better practice this way!

Here are the boys treating Finny to a pedicure. Doesn't he look relaxed?

This experience might not have proven that Dan is ready to be a dad, but check out uncle Lindy - he's a natural!

Well, only one toe was bleeding by the end, and the dog only appears to be dead. Hopefully we will have a few more practice sessions before the baby comes!

Hopefully baby girl Klein will be a more cooperative toe nail clipping participant!

Yo Judy, nice tummy! Can you balance a mug of hot chocolate on it yet? We´re glad to hear everything is so smooth, even your sweet christmas tree and semi-dead dog. If we don´t talk to you beforehand, Happy New Years to you and the Klein family!
