Santa Barbara Preview

Elliott was sick for our Entire Trip to California. He got sick on Day 1 and instead of blowing it off in 24-48 hours as his sister had, he got worse and worse all week. (Took him to the doc after we got home - magnificent raging ear infections in both ears. He's better now.)

This put a little bit of a damper on our vacation - but only a little bit. Because if you are going to be holding a clingy needy baby (who, by the way, was only clingy to and needing ME), wouldn't you rather be holding him at the beach? With friends? Near palm trees? At the monarch butterfly migration? With a margarita in one hand? Yes, yes, yes, yes, and YES.

The moral of the story is that we still had a great time, but there aren't too many pics of Elliott because mostly I was holding him. I kicked myself 286729 times for deciding against bringing the ergo.

Dan is still processing pictures. But here are a few he's published already.

Nory at the Harbor. It was pretty cold our first day there, this was the only day she was in a coat. But still, glad we brought it.

Nory running at the Ellwood bluffs (hike to the butterflies). This shirt is now in the "too small" pile in her closet - yay Nory, outgrowing your 3T clothes!

With our friend Ewan.
 Ewan. Such a fun kid.

Pelicans. Lots more birds here.
