ONE!

Somebody turned ONE today! Hip Hip Hooray!

And what a year it has been! Who would have guessed that such a challenging, mostly miserable infant could turn into this amazing, happy, easy going, adventurous, fun kid?

Here are some fun facts about Elliott at 1 year:

He has taken a couple (unassisted) steps a few times, but is nowhere near walking as a means of transportation.

He only spits up about 5 times a day!!

He eats everything we've ever fed him. EVERYTHING. Often as much food as Nory.

He doesn't seem to be able to digest diary yet - he screamed for an hour on all three occasions when I tried to introduce yogurt.

He can go up and down stairs with confidence, but not always without falling.

He loves his mommy. He loves his sister. He loves his nanny. But he L.O.V.E.S his daddy! When Daddy comes home from work Elliott will scream until I set him on the floor and then he will sprint as fast as his little crawl can take him towards Dan. Yelling da-da-da-da-da-da-da all the way!

He says "mamma" and "dada" and "bababababa" and "bye bye" in normal a baby voice. But when he tries new sounds they come out sounding like he's been smoking for 20 years. A little like the godfather voice.

He is SO CUTE. This gets him out of all kinds of trouble.

He is a terrible sleeper. 

He is in the process of dropping his morning nap. He takes two naps about half the time now. Yay.

He is such an amazing, fun part of our family! Hard to imagine that only a year ago he was just a brand new itty bitty teeny tiny baby.
