Eating

Elliott is (more or less) 6 months, and we finally bought him a high chair off craigslist so that he could start participating in family meals!

He has been fussy during meals lately, I think his patience for being in the bouncy chair on the floor has worn out. He'd rather be where he can see. Who can blame him?

When Nory turned 6 months old, I had investigated the nutritional value of different "first foods" for babies, selected avocado, went to the farmer's market to buy one, and blended it up with breast milk to make little avocado baby food ice cube tray meals. Well it turns out that Nory didn't like baby food, in fact she hardly ate anything until she graduated to the finger food stage well after she was 1 year old. So this time around we are starting with good old fashioned rice cereal, and I'll introduce more nutritional food once the food does something besides come right back out!

First bite!

Are you kidding me?

Oh not again...

At least I figured out how to get it back out.

Haha!

More funny faces.

If possible, I think more food actually came out than went in. Glad I didn't waste any effort making home made pureed baby food! Still, it was fun to have him at the dinner table with the rest of us and I am looking forward to this next stage of his life.

I'm gonna blackmail him when he is older, munching on pizza :-) Wonderful pictures, thanks for getting these great shots for posterity!
