Nory was a fish for Halloween (thanks to the Santa Barbara Costume Exchange where I turned last year's cow into this fish costume for free). We took her to the mall to go trick or treating after much debate. She doesn't really "get" trick or treating, and I wasn't going to let her eat the candy. On the other hand, opportunities to wear this adorable costume and have it be appropriately admired are limited.
Once she discovered that her bag had goodies in it, she kept crouching down to check out what was inside.
The comment we got the most was, "That is such an adorable little fish!" Followed by, "Did you make that yourself?" and lastly (this only happened a couple times and it was when she was crouched down checking out her loot), "Is that a fish... or a chicken?"
I'm so glad we took her. Next year should be even more fun. Plus I am still enjoying the reward of a miniature candy stash in our cupboard. Shhhhh Nory doesn't know about it.
