Disneyland

My birthday was earlier this month, and I talked Dan and Nory into taking me to Disneyland for the day!  It made for a very long, but very fun day.  Nory was a superstar.  Well, I guess she was at Disneyland so how hard could it be?  But even still, she did remarkably well during such a long, sensory overloaded day with only one 45+ minute nap (which happened inside the air conditioned oasis of the spinning Innovention building).

I did end up going on several rides that I had never been on before and certainly wouldn't have bothered with if we hadn't had Nory - the train that circles the perimeter of the park, the Storybookland ride, and the Carousel.  We also (gladly) avoided all of the have-a-height-requirement rides, and it turns out that those are the ones with the long lines.  The rides we could take Nory on all had less than 20 minute lines, usually only 5 or 10 minutes.

Nory favorites included: Small World, Winnie-the-pooh, Peter Pan,
Nory not-so-favorites included: the Carousel (by far her least favorite), Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland

We went on the Small World ride three times.  Nory would have been quite content to ride it over and over all day.  For those of you who enjoy your Disneyland in smaller doses, here are a few videos.

Dan has most of the pictures on his computer, and he's in another state right now, but maybe I'll put some up this weekend.

PS.  Glad we went - but definitely don't feel the need to go back any time soon.
