He sleeps, We sleep, I sleep, She will sleep, I wanted to sleep, Birthday

He sleeps
Here is my friend Keren's brand new baby, Charlie Marzinke. Isn't he adorable? I'm in love. Keren had a long, hard labor... but look what she got to take home!

We sleep
People told me that our dog would turn into a piece of furniture after we had a baby, but I didn't quite expect it to happen so early. Here is Finny, practicing his new role as couch cushion.

I sleep
The pillow madness continues... and Dan gets less and less room in the bed as my pillows multiply. Pregnancy is SO uncomfortable, but sticking a pillow here and there and everywhere helps dramatically.

She will sleep
We bought this beautiful crib on Craig's List this weekend! Isn't it adorable? It will be cuter with a mattress and bedding and baby girl, but you can get the idea with the stuffed zebra and blanket.

I wanted to sleep
Last night Dan and I attended our first birth class. We both went in with pretty bad attitudes, but it turned out to be fantastic! The first half was very informative - LOTS of information on natural childbirth, phases of labor, etc. The second half was even better. This is where we practiced "labor positions and relaxation techniques." Basically this meant that we would move into different positions (sitting, standing, laying on pillows, etc), and I would get to relax while Dan practiced making me comfortable and massaging my back, feet, or hands. It was VERY nice! Like being at a spa. I almost fell asleep several times by the end. I suspect falling asleep will not be a problem during actual labor :-(. The good thing is she told us to practice every night - hooray!

Birthday
Happy birthday my darling husband! I can't wait to celebrate with you over risotto and cake tonight.
